Getting ready

A few things about your building, so the day goes quietly. None of it is urgent. If you’d rather do it later, we’ll ask again the week before.

Your building The name on the door, if it has one. Unit How we get in A doorman, a concierge, a call box, a key at the front desk — whatever’s normal for you. If you plan to be home, that’s the simplest answer of all. Freight elevator If yours needs booking, tell us who to call and we’ll book it. Where we park The dock, the alley, the garage — wherever a van goes. Where the tree goes The corner you already have in mind. A photograph of it is more than enough.

Does your building ask vendors for a certificate of insurance? If it does, we send it. There’s nothing for you to do with this either way.
