Questions
Who comes into my home?
I’m Steven — I bring the tree, I place it, and I come back for it in January.
Do I need to be there?
Only if you want to be. Some people go out for the day and come back to a lit room. Some are at the kitchen table on a call the whole time and barely look up. You tell us how to get in and which of those it’ll be, and that’s the end of your part in it.
Do you come to my neighborhood?
If it’s Portland, yes. Across town is half an hour, and that’s a fine way to spend half an hour.
Lobbies and offices are a different conversation.
For commercial spacesWhat if my building is difficult?
It isn’t, for you. The freight elevator, the loading dock, the concierge, the certificate of insurance — that’s all ours, and it’s handled before the day. You tell us the name of your building and we take it from there.
What happens in January?
We come and take care of it, and everything goes with us.
Is it a real tree?
It’s a Balsam Hill — artificial, which is why it looks the same on the twenty-eighth of December as it did the day it arrived. There’s nothing to water and nothing on the floor.
